Our wedding | Part One

We had the best day. We're still getting all the professional photos together but here are some snaps of the wedding, stolen from the wonderful group of family and friends who made our day so warm and beautiful. We were lucky with the weather, which was lovely for the afternoon after bucketing it down all morning. Everything came together just perfectly - the coastguard helicopter even did a surprise fly past just as we headed back up the aisle.

Paris was cancelled at the last minute because of strikes by air traffic controllers in France, so we honeymooned in Stockholm instead. We've always wanted to visit the city and had an amazing time. My suitcase full of floaty dresses wasn't really fitting for the Scandinavian climate which gave me a good excuse to buy *more* knitwear and a new coat. All things considered, I think it turned out rather well in the end.

I wish I could go back and do it all again.

1 A quick trip up to Sumburgh head during one of many runs to the airport to pick up our lovely guests 2 The prep for our garden wedding was something else - these are the benches coming in 3 Sarah and Jordan 12.06.14 4 Mitchell and his roses 5 Amy and Martha coming down the 'aisle' 6 Vows 7 Freshly wed and ridiculously happy 8 Kicking off our night of non-stop dancing with the Grand March at Lerwick Town Hall 9 Moet on the beach after the wedding - the benefts of marrying on the summer solstice 10 Wedding jewels 11 Late at night in Stockholm harbour 12 One of the many cinnamon buns and cups of coffee that replaced the croissants and red wine 13 Gamla Stan, Stockholm.
