Things are getting a bit manic around here.
The book is so nearly there. The publisher settled on a title the other day - Shetland Textiles: 800BC to the Present. It's funny that this is one of the last decisions, but it's been tough to imagine the final title while it's been a work in progress for the last year. Now that all the content is together, naming it was easy. It's with the designer at the moment, and it's less than a month until it's due to be signed off at the printers. Terrifying.
Perfect timing though, because in just over a month I'll be starting out on a new, and equally terrifying, adventure. I've been offered a scholarship to do my PhD at the University of Edinburgh. I don't really have the words to explain how important this is to me so I'm more focussed on how lovely it will be to ride to the university and back through the meadows on my bike twice a day.
So things are changing around here. The result is that I've turned into a wide-eyed version of myself who can't finish a sentence, puts the cutlery in the fridge and goes off with other folks' keys.
